@_janey_j @RDWimp Her mother in law died last November. My brother abused his LPA and was investigated by the police for stealing her money which is still ongoing! My guess is that you’re a danger to your LPA donor too! Now please go and be nasty somewhere else! You’re not got to be on here!

I am lasting power of attorney for my father who is a sick, vulnerable elderly man. Early this year a hospital consultant IGNORED MY wishes AND my father’s wishes to NOT put a DNAR on him and she put one on anyway and lied that I didn’t have POA. She stated that “it was her duty to give him end of life anticipatory medicines” and it was a “clinical decision” that over rides anything HE himself wished for and that of his family and LPOA. All of this was done right in front of my eyes while I was there - think about that for a minute and then have a serious think about what will happen when they ask a sick elderly person if they want to end their life. If they are in hospital with an infection they will likely be too sick to know what’s going on let alone make decisions about ending their own life. These people WILL ignore the patient and YOUR pleas to fight against it and murder them anyway. Because that is exactly what it is - murder.
