Here is the Good Friday sermon from @calvarystjohns by Kurtis Rodgers of Rabbittown Community Church.

@WrestlePurists I wish he would have actually answered the question.
English

Tony Khan was asked what would have been his plans had he acquired WWE.
He said there were a lot of intriguing things happening at the time, naming the pursuit of free agent like Kazuchika Okada, Mercedes Moné and Will Ospreay. He was focused on AEW but also cognizant that there was a bidding process.
He thought it would have been a missed opportunity to not at least try getting involved.

@TheBunglerat @Raidenskami @Protestia Muslims believe in Jesus, too. Not as God but as a prophet. Both Christians and Mormons would have problems with their view. As the book of Hebrews teaches, if you don't have Jesus you don't have the Father. Mormons teach a different Jesus and that's an important distinction.
English

@Raidenskami @JonathanTroke @Protestia Your assessment is too simplistic. The world is under attack from evil like never before - & Satan must surely delight in all the in-fighting amongst believers. Mormons believe in Christ. If their understanding is different to yours, it's still better than rooting for the devil.
English

@SpencerFernando I don't think floor crossing ought to be banned. MPs can have changes of mind, ideologies and loyalties. However, I do believe that the people who choose their representative ought to be given a chance to declare whether they wish to stick with their last pick or not.
English

Whatever you think of Marilyn Gladu’s floor crossing, you should want MPs to have their own minds. spencerfernando.com/2026/04/08/wha…
English

@mrsunshinebaby In order to persuade such an apparent convictional Conservative to go against the will of her constituents it must have taken some awfully impactful promises from Prime Minister Carney. Those methods and promises are also of real concern.
English

@Raidenskami @Protestia Their understanding of God is quite unbiblical, you're right. However, we go too far to label them hopeless. The Holy Spirit can, and does, draw and save those that are far from Him in their understanding. As long as we've the genuine gospel to give anyone has hope.
English

@JonathanTroke @Protestia The think God the Father was some dude that worked at RadioShack died and became a god and created this universe. These people are hopeless.

@Sola_GPT @Protestia I only used Elohim because that is what the Mormons with which I have interacted use.
The Bible teaches that there is only one God and that God doesn't even know of any others (Isaiah 44:8). That fact alone is quite contrasted with Mormon theology.
English

@JonathanTroke @Protestia just read our scriptures - it’s perfectly aligned with Bible on who Jesus is: the eternal god, only begotten of the father, pre-existent creator of heavens and earth
You can throw in words like Elohim to try to make it sound dif but Elohim just means God in Hebrew

English

@Tablesalt13 Party-affiliation does play an important role when it comes to MPs being elected and this riding is quite the example of that. It would appear that this defection would, quite obviously, go against the desires of the constituents. Ways to combat this ought to be considered.
English

@bruce_arthur Maybe. However, many Canadians appear to appreciate Prime Ministry Carney, his form of governing and the legitimacy they interpret in his leadership style. This to the point of overlooking the methods by which is builds his control.
English

@JimYoungBurlin1 @MarkJCarney That's speculation. That being said; you may very well be right. However, when I suggest investigation it's primarily to assuage the curiosity regarding the actual methods. e.g. compensation, promises, etc. An unlikely scenario to be sure.
English

@JonathanTroke @MarkJCarney Not sure any investigation is required. MPs of all stripes seek power and position. Mark Carney can provide that, Pierre Poilievre looks less and less likely to ever be able to do that. His weaknesses as much as Carney’s strengths are the reason for the surge in floor crossing
English

At this important moment for our country’s future, Canadians with a broad range of experience and perspectives are uniting to build Canada strong. I am honoured to welcome Marilyn Gladu today as the newest member of this government and our Liberal caucus.
In a time of global economic uncertainty, Canada’s success will depend on how we build ambition into progress and strengths into sustained advantage. Marilyn brings the practical, results-driven leadership this effort demands.
Having spent decades of her career in engineering and international business, she understands what it takes to create good jobs, strengthen supply chains, and ensure Canadian industry can compete in a rapidly changing global economy.
She has been elected by the people of Sarnia—Lambton–Bkejwanong in four straight elections since 2015, and repeatedly earned recognition from colleagues across Parliament for her proven willingness to work constructively across party lines.
I’m looking forward to working closely with Marilyn to build a stronger and more independent Canadian economy, meeting the challenges of a changing world with lasting opportunities for all.

English

@elie_mcn I don't think your suggestions to be likely implemented. I doubt anyone in government will admit it but none of them would give up the tool of seizing defectors. It's too valuable. Far more valuable than the integrity that comes with adhering to the wills of their constituents.

@RealGameVault I don't recognize them but I still consider my childhood to have been great.
...HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?!
English

@MarilynGladuSL Perhaps there could be implemented a way to obligate MPs to remain with the party with which they were associated at the time of their election. Although, I am not sure a reasonable way to make that happen. But it may make for a more fair government composition.
English

@CTVNews I am legitimately curious how Prime Minister Carney is able to persuade all of these defections.
Also, I understand that a MP is not obligated to respect the will of their constituents when it comes to party association but this seems like a cheap way to do government.
