@GreatestBot @owen_mccor Yeah but that sample isn't a "republican roman".. it's one of the tribes the roman subjugated and had to offer soldiers to Rome. I think people don't quite understand how "exclusive" romanness was until the social wars.

@JustinianHead @owen_mccor He took an individual coordinates, the most northern shifted, instead of the averages, and acting like it represents Roman’s during the republic. Owen is a pathological liar. This is the actual average

“Do you, Romans from the beginning, descendants of the Marcii, the Fabii, the Quintii, the Valerii and Julii desire that your families and names alike shall perish with you? It is neither right nor creditable that our race should cease and the city be given over to foreigners.”

@owen_mccor Palestrina (ancient Praeneste) did not have full citizenships until the social wars, and sided with other italic tribes during the social wars.

@owen_mccor The sample wasn't carbon dated. It ranges from 600-200 BC, but it's not buried in Rome. It's buried somewhere near the mountain east of Rome.

Southern Italians are genetically identical to Jews and twice as close to Arabs as they are to e.g. founding stock Americans

@psyop_observer3 @SpanishLynx @owen_mccor The samples are dated, you can check in the supplementary materials of the study. you don't have to guess. 400 AC isn't defined as Imperial age in the Antonio Et Al study, but Late antiquity. Imperial Era = 27 BC -300 AC(Basically, pagan Imperial Rome).

@SpanishLynx @owen_mccor By the way, the "Imperial Rome" section in the substructure picture probably reflects the situation around 400 CE more than that of 27 BC (the start of the imperial age).

@FallenBotulism @readmyramblings @owen_mccor Educational Attainment in Imperial Rome partain to a much larger number of samples (48 vs 10) and the clusters are more and more heterogenous. It's a pointless comparison. South/central Italian-like samples in the imperial period are only 10 (30%) of the total.

@readmyramblings @owen_mccor Architectural innovations by Romans who were fortunate to stand on the shoulders of the Greek giants are not what is being discussed. You wrote monumentality and then listed the Pantheon, which was inspired by the Parthenon. Besides, your examples predate Levantine admixture:

@FallenBotulism @readmyramblings @owen_mccor I don't know about the American mexican shithole, but there were some Roman levantines involved with the construction of many monuments. For example the reconstruction and renewal of the Pantheon after it got destroyed was commissioned to a greek speaking levantine engineer

@readmyramblings @owen_mccor They were present during the era of heavy construction. It does not mean that they were responsible for it. Are you stupid? By your logic, negroes are responsible for building your country, and also fought for it during your civil war. Do you accept that negroes are foundatonal?

@readmyramblings @owen_mccor The polygenetic scores of the Republican era Romans are obviously what is foundational to the achievements of Rome, not this influx of Levantines in the last two centuries. Your examples of great architecture are a result of Republican era genes, so your analogy was useless.

@FallenBotulism @readmyramblings @owen_mccor You're genuinely a schizoid. Almost the entirety of infrastructure building and maintained of the empire was done obviously in Imperial Times. That's what differentiates Romans from random mongolic hordes, which is that they hold the territory. Never talk about Rome again.

@readmyramblings @owen_mccor So you accept that the men of the Roman Republic were superior, as not only were they the foundational population of Rome, but they also conquered the foundational territory of Rome before the Levantines replaced them and leeched off their accomplishments?

@readmyramblings @owen_mccor Because of Greeks, yes. Not Levantines, who eventually went on to create Sicilians who have accomplished nothing besides migrating from Syria and Judea. Congratulations on contradicting yourself a second time. x.com/readmyrambling…

@FallenBotulism @owen_mccor Help me to parse your argument here.. Roman innovations were actually Greek, everything they did was Greek Also Roman innovations were actually Latin and anything they did once importing Greeks was trash. Which is it bro?

@FallenBotulism @readmyramblings @owen_mccor Damn you are stupid. All of the Roman imperial samples in Antonio Et Al are from the early-mid empire. The Imperial period in itself doesn't even take in account the 4th century, it's from 27 BC to 300 AC. Read the studies before embarrassing yourself.

@readmyramblings @owen_mccor Nordicism is not absurd and Jews and Sicilians were never foundational populations. This is the equivalent to arguing that Levantines were foundational to the Roman Republic because they replaced the population of southern Italy during the empire period. Retroactive amendment.
