Engagement brings new viewers to their channel.
The market is so saturated with streamers and other content creators that TikTok is no longer effective at generating an audience unless you have an audience to begin with.
Multiple Vtubers I knew have doubled and tripled in view count because they were caught up in drama, and got the attention of larger content creators. Some have gotten Twitch partner just from drama farming
After spamming TikTok’s for years and never gaining a follower from doing it, can you blame them?

Why does everyone in vtubing feel the need to publicly comment on literally every piece of drama. Sometimes you can just read a tweet and think "damn that sucks" and move on with ur day.

She’s out here enjoying Japan while they obsessively defend a guy who scammed fans out of thousands for a fake lawsuit, dated a teen while pushing 30, and whose own ex fiancé + entire friend group saw what he really was and left.
The fact he nearly drank himself to death doesn’t make him a victim worth shielding it shows why Deme had every right to call him out without holding back.

I got slashed accidentally when I pulled the scissors away from him; trying to save his life from a horrible decision. Their obsession with the cuck fantasy also checks out. I had no idea that Chibi Reviews tried to take his own life, and i don’t wish that upon anyone. As I said before, I don’t care about the guy in general. I’m not gonna apologize to a guy who dated a teen when he’s pushing 30. Scammed his fans of thousands of dollars of a lawsuit that never happened. Never in my life have i heard of people siding with a cheating future wife in any scenario tbh. Yeah im not surprised the guy doesn’t understand boundaries / consent.
