Last night was incredible. The theatre was nearly sold out with over 500 people in attendance. Orca Books had us sign books before and after, and they sold out of all their boxes! There was such a lovely energy in the theatre, so many Natives together. My auntie and cousin made it out here just for the play, and now we get to have breakfast. Kelly and Fig Lonesome (Kelly is the best horror editor —Tor Nightfire) showed up too! The actors did a phenomenal job. The foley artist, the lighting. Just wow. And before the show, we got a beautiful blessing by three men with drums. It made me tear up. Feels so good to help create something that brings so many people together. And we get to do it again tonight in Bellingham for an even bigger audience… Honored.
