World Book Day was fun! 📚

In our Y3 assembly today, we heard about a player of the match award for football and great progress in phonics. Well done to these two children. 👏 @LJS3RS @LJS3BN

We couldn’t do our PE lesson outside due to the snow and ice so we moved the furniture and did yoga in the classroom instead.

We have celebrated these children’s achievements in our Y3 assemblies. We heard about ballet, swimming, football, netball, phonics and some great home learning. Great job! 👏 @LJS3BN @LJS3RS @LJS3ML

We’ve had a fun geography lesson finding out why people have migrated to Sheffield over time - it was an information hunt around the classroom! The children were really engaged in their learning! 😀

3JD had a great time on the rescheduled Crosspool walk and learned a lot about the local area. Here are the posters we made when we got back to school about how humans have changed the land use over time. 👏

Wow! The children really impressed with their team work today when carrying out a science investigation into friction! They made some great predictions which were mostly proved true!

3JD went into the woods today to look for clues that a giant is living there. We found lots of evidence including some huge footprints and some snozzcumbers!

3JD and @LJS3RS have written about our favourite books. They are displayed in our Y3 base library so we can look at them for book recommendations. 🪁

3JD have had a great first week. We have enjoyed reading some Flat Stanley stories and have taken him on adventures round our school grounds.

We used cardboard to make 3D Greek theatre masks. 🎭

We played an ultimate frisbee tournament with @LJS3HS, @LJS3RL and @LJS3BN on Friday. It was great fun!

We enjoyed reading our polar bear reports to the children from @LJS5CR 🐻‍❄️

Inspired by their visit to Yorkshire Wildlife Park, 3JD have written reports about polar bears and presented them as books in the shape of icebergs. We think they look great! @YorkshireWP

We enjoyed making wands and creating pictures in the woods today. 🌳🪄

These two children were ready for the science fair today and talked to people with confidence about what they had created. Great job! 👏🤩
