Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew announced his new budget/election strategy… which includes: taxing the “successful and lucky” so they contribute to those who need “a bit more help”. Helping the future generation build the habit of using public transportation because it’s better for the environment. Fun fact: I stopped using public transportation in Winnipeg about 7 years ago because it was so uncomfortable and the busses smelt like urine. In fact, just a few years ago, we had a radio promotion where we’d go on public transit to give people gift cards… after two attempts, upper management pulled us from it due to several safety concerns targeting our young female part timers.
