Highland from S. Stadium to Dalrymple, E. Parker, and the west bound lane at Skip Bertman at Nicholson are all flooded. @LSUPolice have barricades headed to E. Parker.

Flash flooding at Engineering Lane at South Stadium Road. LSU PD is closing the area. Please continue to use caution when driving on campus.

Due to the heavy rain expected today, be aware of potential flash flooding on streets around campus. Please use caution.

LSU will delay its start time on January 17th until 12:30 PM. Tiger Trails transit service will resume normal operations beginning at 11:30 AM. Sales and Service Offices will open at 12:30 PM.

Due to winter weather conditions, LSU will delay its start time Wednesday, January 17, until 12:30 p.m. All classes and activities scheduled to begin prior to 12:30 p.m. are cancelled. The @LSULawCenter and @LSUVetMed will communicate separately with their students and staff about their operations. The delayed start does NOT apply to classes in the @LSUOnline program, which will proceed as scheduled. The @LSULabSchool and the LSU Early Childhood Education Laboratory Preschool will be closed all day tomorrow. The weather forecast for tomorrow is predicting temperatures at or below freezing, so please dress in layers to provide insulation and trap heat. Wear a hat, gloves, and a scarf to protect your extremities from the cold. Essential employees should check with their supervisors about whether they should report to campus earlier than 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The @LSUHRM will send instructions for time entry for the delayed start to all timekeepers in a follow-up email. @LSUResLife Halls and @LSUDining Halls will remain open, but please check LSU Dining’s website and social media accounts for adjusted hours of dining operations. For information on LSU bus service for Wednesday morning, visit the @LSUParking & Transportation Services website or social media accounts. Please watch your LSU email account, LSU.edu, LSU social media channels, and LSU emergency text messaging for any possible updates. Those who have not signed up for emergency text messages should do so at myLSU by clicking on “Personal Preferences” and “Emergency Contacts.” The LSU Office of Emergency Preparedness, or OEP, will continue to closely monitor this situation and will provide any additional information as necessary.

LSU is closed tomorrow, January 16, 2024. To ensure the safety of staff and students, Tiger Trails transit service will not ope rate Jan. 16, 2024. Operations are expected to resume on Wednesday, Jan. 17th.
