258,000 Basotho already face hunger, and by March 2026 that number could reach 334,000, yet government action remains slow. Food is available, but our people simply can’t afford it. Poverty in Lesotho is no longer a statistic, it’s a policy failure.

National Assembly has passed the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution Bill, and it now awaits Royal Assent. Its passage is marred by fundamental procedural irregularities and it's likely to attract legal challenges, and it might ultimately be declared null and void by the courts.

Lesotho’s RFP-led govt is out of its depth in geopolitics — botched MCC, clueless on AGOA, silent on US tariffs, sidelined in SA-Lesotho Bi-National Commission. This is what happens when novices are sent to do a statesman’s job. National interest isn’t for experiments.

MCC has shut down, and as we saw today, the government is still fumbling in the dark, no plan. Yet the writing’s been on the wall since January. AGOA has been effectively strangled by tariffs, and there's no hope for renewal. 12k jobs hang in the balance, but govt remains dazed.

Decent work is not a privilege, it is a right. Safety at work is not a favour, it is a demand. Living wages are not negotiable, they are non-negotiable. No worker must sleep hungry after building a nation during the day. Happy Workers Day!
