@NebbiePup @LightZ323 @NoLKTKRI @ANerdNamedJerry There’s nothing implied in the story that hiding his eyes will help stop a sneak attack. Also, Toji could not see his eyes. He had his dark shades on only the viewers are able to see his eyes through his glasses.

He takes it off in intense fights because those are the moments he wants all visual stimulus possible, but he doesn’t always need that when he’s not fighting

I get that it helps with strain, but does taking it off improve his ability to fight? it seems like it'd be better to keep his eyes as unstrained as possible

I see him switching from the glasses to the blindfold the same way at least to me. The glasses made him look a lot younger while the blindfold makes them look more mature.
