Started off the year on a high with an award (Michael Decter) and signing off on a high with an award that recently came into the mailbox from CIHR. From this little young boy who struggled to read and write during his formative years (thank you mom for always persisting, teaching, nurturing, disciplining), to this “not-so-young” man God is showcasing. I am super thankful and grateful to the Most High, for this year… It only gets better from here…

In my 30's, I worked in a hospital system that developed outstanding leaders. My career accelerated as a result of working there, as did that of multiple others who went on to become national NHS leaders. So I was interested to see this new research on what is different about organisations that are exceptionally good at developing leaders. They:
1) Take a strategic approach to attracting, developing & retaining talent
2) Invest heavily in development & training
3) Have strong cultures & internal operations
4) Are respected in the broader environment
