@DougieCritchley Shocked that Branthwaite isn’t anywhere near the team. He’s a shadow of where he was in his debut season but he’s still a quality player and he’s left-footed. I think he’s better than Konsa, the current version of Stones, I think he has a higher ceiling than any England defender

Clearlake are a shambles but they have bigger standards than our owners. Let’s not forget Ruben Amorim didn’t get sacked for his poor results but for calling out the board. If Ruben Amorim had the same record at Chelsea as he did at United he would have lasted 10 games.

Could go for Carrick, but why if we could get all but 4 or 5 managers in world football? I think this team is perfectly balanced and matches the profiles that Nagelsmann has established with Germany. Barco moving into the anchor due to his passing range and Ryerson joining Mbeumo

@Polymath_16 The 1st season was horrible but it wasn't his fault. His system commanded very particular profiles in every position and didn't have that. Then gets sacked during AFCON where he'd only lost games because he had lost key players and had to resort to playing 12 year olds and Ugarte

Amorim had a whole year to be able to get to a point where we had a semblance of routines and repetitive play which we saw in spades since the start of this season,and all these while not still winning as we should, though we were a little better. You don't expect an interim coach with 3months into the job midseason to FULLY instill his principles of play in the team while still expected to win and qualify for the UCL.. All that matters is WINNING at this stage of the season, that's all that counts. I always use RDZ's Spurs as example, watch their last two games and you will think Thomas Frank is the one still in the dugout, they play nothing like his kind of teams at all and that is cos he can't do all that at this stage of the season.

@Polymath_16 No its not our fault. However, I'm just rationalising that Carrick is probably riding a wave of luck that Amorim was probably due. I wasn't a fan of Amorim, but the football was much better under him IMO. My point is to do with us needing a new manager next season

It's not our fault that they were down to 10 men mate, the 10 men we lost to were use to mock us everyday till now. You can only beat what is in front of you.

We're better under Carrick than we were under ten Hag and Amorim. Yet people still aren't convinced. Whatever happens in the summer regarding the manager, the same issues others have regarding a lack of intensity will still be there without signings. There are some clear key limitations in the squad that any manager is going to deal with.

Yet another assist for Bruno. Doing it in a much weaker team, much weaker managers than De Bruyne, is 2 away from equalling the all time record now and De Bruyne did it in 35 games appearances compared to Bruno's current 30. Very impressive

@UTDKlaus Barcola is not gonna move from PSG to get away from being a rotation player to be a rotation player. We don't have that kind of pull anymore atm anyway. I think if Liverpool are looking for a Salah replacement and can't afford Olise. They should probs be looking at Barcola tbh

@leecarty8 Woltemade is the entire reason you've been so poor this season. He's not suited to your system at all. So either change the system and build a completely new team around Woltemade, or just get a new striker and cut your losses
