Six years ago, I had barely any self worth left, I didn't see a future for myself, and clung to anything to survive. It's crazy how far I've come in the last five years. It may just be baby steps compared to some, but I'm so proud of how far I've come. Never give up.

This case is honestly pretty messed up. A 16-year-old girl working at a facility for people with disabilities tried to stop a resident from biting another resident. For that, she got arrested on assault charges and was held in detention for 18 days. During that time, she was reportedly pressured to confess, even though she kept saying she didn’t do anything wrong. After she was finally released without charges, she developed severe PTSD and an eating disorder. Her weight dropped dramatically, and she ended up dying from malnutrition several months later. She was literally just trying to protect someone, and somehow she became the one who got treated like a criminal. The more you hear about it, the more it feels completely backwards.
