@fengsaucy That’s what fascinates me about the way people take it! The intrusion to me doesn’t feel inherently sexual but it is definitely an intrusion… If she were to see me seeing her, it would trigger shame on both our parts. We have a weird relationship with bodies—especially women’s.

@LustyLiberal Yes, we get into the discussion of the sexuality being imposed versus inherent. The woman is not sexual in her demeanor or intention, but the painting is sexual because we recognize that we are intruding into a private moment without her knowledge let alone consent. Layers!

I actually agree that it’s sexualized bc there is a voyeuristic quality to it. But I also understand the point of the original post in that this is an example of nudity that isn’t a performance by the woman.

I don't like Taylor Swift's music but I can't figure out the hate she gets. She's just a happy-go-lucky hardworking lady with no scandals who makes girly music and is extremely generous to all her employees and charities. I don't get it.
