Air travel really is a joy. After all the cancellations and route changes for my flights to Dayton for #Hamvention a few days ago, I’m now in a taxi to Cincinnati to catch a flight from there because my flight from Chicago to London was cancelled. I may be gone some time…

@EssexHam @theRSGB Oh I see. I thought you were saying it wasn’t long enough! Playing devils advocate slightly as at the moment we don’t know exactly when the new licence conditions will come into effect.

@M0JSX @theRSGB Logic says start to teach people according to actual live licence conditions as soon as possible after “go live”, which was the plan. Changes were announced 2 months ago. RSGB is now asking for 9 months prep time to get its act together.

@EssexHam @theRSGB Come on Pete. Think logically here. The RSGB can’t go on testing outdated licencing conditions indefinitely. I’d argue 6 months is a reasonable timeframe

@K3TripleR I constantly flip between the ID-52 and the FT5D. If the ID-52 had APRS it would be the perfect HT for me.

What was the last radio that YOU bought? For me, it was upgrading my Anytone 878UV Plus to the ii version about a month ago…And I absolutely love it… Amazed at all the things it does both digital and analog… 5,000 memories...What about you? What's going to be your NEXT radio?
