The @MA_Senate passed a resolution commemorating June 19, 2020 as #Juneteenth - an unofficial holiday that celebrates June 19, 1865, the day when the remaining enslaved African Americans in the USA were told that they were free. All 40 members signed on the resolution. #mapoli

This afternoon, Plymouth County Treasurer Tom O’Brien & the County Commissioners presented Marshfield & Scituate with the very 1st checks from the federal CARES Act. Marshfield received $1,125,767 & Scituate received $139,019 – funds will reimburse eligible COVID-19 expenses.
