@sleepy_devo Leftists don't like it because it would imply that gender isn't a social construct. Leftists usually prefer traits to be socially constructed and not innate, so they ignore or twist evidence that suggests X is innate if they've already decided that X is socially constructed.

the trans medicalist view is OBVIOUSLY the correct one on trans issues. trans activists don't like it because it means that people are not self-authored, while rightoids don't like it because they don't want to admit they're mistreating innocent people.
