Nassau lawmakers introduced a bill to combat sex trafficking by limiting hourly bookings at hotels and motels, mirroring a similar measure in neighboring Suffolk. If the bill passes later this month, it will be illegal for hotels and motels to rent out rooms for fewer than eight hours at a time. NEW: Police officer saves a 3-year-old boy by shooting a woman who abducted and stabbed him at a Walmart in Nebraska. Noemi Guzman, who once attacked her father with a knife & set his house on fire before breaking into a church, is dead. Guzman was back on the streets following the attack on her father, thanks to the fact that she was found not guilty by "reason of insanity." Omaha police say they arrived at the scene to find Guzman, 31, threatening the child with the knife. After refusing to comply with verbal orders and slashing the child in the head, officers opened fire. "The responding officers acted with professionalism and direct action to intervene and save a child's life," said Omaha Police Chief Todd Schmaderer. "The community can be reassured in knowing that Omaha police officers stand ready to act with courage and decisiveness in the most serious situations to protect the public." Paul Louis Richards, principal of Carlisle Junior High School, was booked into the Rusk County Jail on a charge of failing to make a required child abuse report. (Student on student) According to an affidavit, on September 23, 2022, Richards’ office was notified of an alleged s*xual as*ault involving a student victim. As a mandatory reporter, he was legally required under Texas Family Code Chapter 261 to report the incident to law enforcement within 48 hours. He didn’t. So explain this - WHY is he STILL employed as a principal over children?
