I've seen AK every now and then but I've never seen much of an opinion, just that it was used. Definitely still feeling things out but it's not the disaster I thought it would be. Turns out patience has its benefits. I've had luck so far on the citadel paints but that's more from watching videos on which not to buy but I also only have 18 or so

@Master_Asmodai Also many many of the GW paints are meh. Monument Hobbies Scale75 (gel medium and higher learning curve) Vallejo AK interactive. Each maker has certain paints or ranges that are beautiful and work great but others are not fantastic.

@QuiteProblmatic I'm still figuring out the thinning, using mostly citadel but some Vallejo metallics and 2 of their color sets which I think are almost all glossy lol I appreciate the advice, I'll look into the videos this weekend

@Master_Asmodai I cheat because I don't paint armies. My advise to to: Stop using glossy or semi-gloss paints. Thin your paints and slowly build up your colors. Vince Venturella hobby cheating videos helped me a lot. I can't do wheat he can, but you can pick up bits that work for you.

In honor of John Blanche's passing on the discord server we will be having a mini painting event, to paint a mini in a style inspired by him. I'll be attempting to feature the submissions into a sort tribute. The event will be running until the 3rd of august. 😭
