🏴🤬 Steve McManaman, FUMING: "The behaviour of Simeone and his assistants when the referee tried to approach the monitor was atrocious. His behaviour was absolutely DISGRACEFUL.
I hate VAR, I hate it, I hate it, I hate it.
I’m sure that if it had been in the opposite penalty area, Simeone would be demanding the penalty uncontrollably. His behaviour is absolutely disgraceful."

@Akamo_2 @Busonelul @FabrizioRomano So every contact is a penalty? Spoilt with the softest pen this season and still complaining. Go learn how to get a shot on target without a gift
English

@Busonelul @MatteoAtleti @FabrizioRomano Was there a contact there or not? If this was against you I’m sure you won’t be here defending this shameful decision by the referee

🏴😤 DECLAN RICE: "‘I think the Atlético Madrid fans provoked the referee's decision and changed his mind. It was a clear penalty and I don't know how it wasn't given."

🚨 BREAKING: Barça has submitted a complaint to UEFA after Hansi Flick inspected the Metropolitano pitch during yesterday's training session.
Atlético Madrid insists that it is the same as always and therefore meets UEFA's requirements.
The Barça coach was not convinced about the dimensions of the surface.
UEFA has responded to Barça saying that they will check and trim it if necessary, as there is a protocol in place for such situations.
The controversy recalls a similar situation in 2016, again involving Barcelona and Atlético in the quarter-finals, when Barça complained about the pitch at the Vicente Calderón.

🚨🚨 Mundo Deportivo have published a 'manual' for Hansi Flick's men to defeat Simeone's anti-football tomorrow.
1. Inform the referee when the first Atleti foul happens. Refs never give a yellow card for the first foul, but they might compensate in the next rough tackle.
2. Not allow Koke to put pressure on the referee. He's a player who constantly screams and demands things from the ref, even after committing heinous fouls.
3. Control the emotions and brawls. A slight push and an Atletico player will dive, causing cards and time wasting.
4. A plan to force a VAR check if things come to worse. They can't completely trust the field referee. Flick should stop the game and not play.
