
@DraperOr David was correct he does get paid a salary for being old unfortunately not as much as he would like. But hopefully he has paid his house off and possibly has savings as well, so cry a little more about it

When I started paying National Insurance contributions in 1976, the deal was that I'd get a pension providing for a basic standard of living in a then-unimaginable 50 years' time. But now I've finally got there, it's just half the minimum wage.



My only response to boomer housing discourse is that my nan on her final salary teachers pension gets the same monthly income I get as a teacher on the inner London pay scale
