As a teenager, my life was peppered with uncertainties and anxieties about the future. ย  One day during my Sunday School class, my teacher shared a verse of scripture that changed my perspective and brought an infusion of light into my mind and heart. These words have continued to help me in many of lifeโ€™s situations.

This was my first General Conference since I realised 'Mormons' aren't 'a polygamous version of the Amish.' ๐Ÿ˜‚ Late last year I casually wondered, 'What do the Mormons actually believe?' Months later, I'm reading the Book of Mormon daily and felt compelled to watch the General Conference. Here's my biggest takeaway: If the people attacking the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints spent just two hours watching one session, I think their views would shift. How can you sit through that spirit, that sincerity, and still see these people as 'lost' or 'evil'? It's mind-boggling. I'm also really grateful for all the LDS friends on X who, knowingly or not, helped me learn and understand more along the way. Whatever path this takes, whether I eventually join or say, 'Fascinating, I respect it deeply, but I'll stay with my Dutch Reformed church', I'm profoundly grateful. The Lord used simple curiosity to change my relationship with Him, how I see the world, and how I face adversity.

Enduring to the end is not merely a relentless determination to grit our teeth, hold on to the limits of our physical strength and mental capacity, and push through the challenges and adversities of mortal life; it is so much more than that. Enduring to the end is linked inextricably to the spiritual gift of charity, or the pure love of Christ. As we are blessed to receive this supernal gift, a transformation occurs in our spiritual nature and character. Charity encompasses both what we do and what we can become as this spiritual gift ultimately possesses us. As we follow, love, and serve the Savior, we gradually focus less on our own desires and interests, and more on understanding and addressing the needs of others. We do not merely perform benevolent deeds; rather, our state of being is changed and becomes increasingly Christlike. Charity, then, ultimately possesses us. The scriptural phrase โ€œendure to the endโ€ is a repeated reminder of the mighty spiritual change in our hearts that should be ongoing throughout our lives; it also is His promise of what we may become if we truly are possessed of the pure love of Christ. #GeneralConference

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
In advance of the upcoming general conference leadership session (April 2, 2026), The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced upcoming adjustments to the Sunday class meeting schedule to support members in their efforts to be lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ. The adjustments will strengthen gospel learning in homes and congregations throughout the world. Beginning September 6, 2026, the alternating weekly schedule for Sunday School and quorum or class meetings will be replaced. Under the updated schedule: โ€ข Sunday School, Relief Society, elders quorum, Young Women and Aaronic Priesthood quorum meetings will be held each week. โ€ข Sacrament meeting will continue to be 60 minutes, followed by brief transition periods. โ€ข Sunday School and quorum and class meetings will each be 25 minutes. โ€ข Primary will continue every Sunday and will be 55 minutes, held while adults and youth attend their respective classes. โ€ข Where local circumstances necessitate, units may begin with Primary and quorum and class meetings and conclude with sacrament meeting. ๐Ÿ”—: bit.ly/414ZmWY The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced adjustments to the Sunday class meeting schedule. โ€œWe are confident that members will be blessed by these changes,โ€ the First Presidency wrote in a letter released Monday, March 30, 2026. For the first time since the 2019 adjustment to a two-hour block, Sundays will look different. Now, instead of alternating classes on Sundays, members will meet for all their meetings during the second hour. The new schedule will take effect the first week of September. For nearly six years, the Salt Lake Temple has been surrounded by scaffolding that supported the sacred structure as it was renovated. This week, the scaffolding has been removed, marking another milestone. ย  As the scaffolding comes down, consider the supports in our lives that steady and strengthen us: faith in God, family and the Savior's love. ย  From April through October 2027, whether in person or virtually, all are invited to experience the Salt Lake Temple Celebration, including the opportunity to tour the interior of this house of the Lord. On This Latter-day in History
On This Latter-day in History@OnThisDayLDSยท
On this day in Church history: March 11, 1956 The Prophet David O. McKay dedicates the Los Angeles Temple. At the time of its dedication, the Los Angeles Temple was the largest in the Church (later additions to the Salt Lake Temple placed the L.A. Temple in second place). In a scene that would echo the dedication of the Rome Italy Temple almost exactly 63 years later, the entire First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles made a rare appearance together outside of Utah to attend the temple dedication. (๐˜š๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ ๐˜—๐˜ช๐˜ค๐˜ต๐˜ถ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ 1.) The Prophet Brigham Young had prophesied of the temple's construction 108 years previously in August of 1847, declaring: โ€ The dedication ordinance took place in the Solemn Assembly Room on the top floor of the temple. This was the first temple since the Salt Lake Temple to be constructed with such a space. Dr. Richard Cowan, a Professor of Church history and doctrine at BYU noted the proceedings as follows: "President McKay and his counselors sat at the highest level of pulpits at the east or Melchizedek Priesthood end of the hall. With all the General Authorities present and participating, the temple dedicatory sessions were not unlike the general conferences of the Church. "Seated adjacent to the Aaronic Priesthood pulpits at the west end of the hall, the Mormon Choir of Southern California led by H. Frederick Davis provided music for both Sunday sessions; organists were Karleton Driggs in the morning, and Cicely Adams Brown in the afternoon. On the other days, combined stake choirs provided the music. "President David O. McKay spoke and personally offered the dedicatory prayer in each session." President McKay remarked that "this was perhaps the most memorable temple dedication in the history of the Church." As with the dedication of the Kirtland Temple, many in the audience โ€” including choir member and future Temple Matron, Darlene Hill โ€” noted the presence of angels in attendance during temple dedication. ๐—ฃ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐Ÿญ - The First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve upon arriving in Los Angeles ๐—ฃ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐Ÿฎ - The Los Angeles Temple ๐—ฃ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐Ÿฏ - The one-of-a-kind Angel Moroni statue by sculptor Millard Malin (featuring Moroni holding the Gold Plates) ๐—ฃ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐Ÿฐ - A dedication program
