If Trump was a slave to Israel, he wouldnโ€™t have imposed tariffs on them. If Trump was a slave to Israel, he wouldnโ€™t have forced them not to respond after Iran violated the ceasefire last year. If Trump was a slave to Israel, they wouldnโ€™t have to wait for his green light before doing anything in Gaza, Lebanon, and elsewhere. If Trump was a slave to Israel, he wouldโ€™ve attacked Iran in his first term. Tucker knows Trump is not a โ€œslave to Israel.โ€ The reason he and his ilk keep saying that he is is because otherwise they have to admit they have zero real influence or power. Itโ€™s much easier to just say Trump is beholden to an external force.
Eitan Fischberger@EFischberger

Tucker Carlson just went on BBC to call Donald Trump a "slave" of Israel. The grievance right is so consumed by hatred of Israel that they'll shit on their own president โ€” on far-left foreign television โ€” just to feel better about themselves

The president is upset because the Pope is actually being like Jesus. He is speaking truth to power, denouncing corruption and violence, all while calling for peace. It says a lot about the character of a person when calling for truth, justice, and peace makes you this outraged.

The Democrat/Media Complex is going to try to use this post from President Trump as a wedge between Catholics and MAGA. They will set it up so that you must "CHOOSE" and you are a bad Catholic if you do not "choose" to adhere to the Pope's X postings and condemn the President. DO NOT FALL FOR IT. This is a false dilemma. As a Catholic, it's OK to disagree with the Pope on the issues he is discussing at the moment. You are only bound if he speaks ex cathedra (which is not the case here) or when he is stating pre-existing teachings from the Church Fathers (which is also not the case here). Pope Leo has gone wildly political and his posts are those of a Chicago Obama acolyte, not a leader of the Church. Moreover, many of his sentiments specifically violate existing Church teachings on matters such as the Just War theory and opposition to Marxism. The Church has had far worse Popes than Leo or Francis (the Borgias, e.g.) and it has endured. Moreover, the Church was ordained by Jesus, not an ordinary human like Pope Leo. Jesus promised that the Church would withstand the "Gates of Hell." I for one believe Him.

And just like thatโ€ฆ the anti-Christian, pro-abortion, atheist, and rainbow crowd who spent years mocking the Church have suddenly โ€œfound faithโ€ and now love the Catholic Pope. All because Trump said something.

Hereโ€™s what drives people nuts on both sides: Trump is not the cartoon character. Not the genius his fans worship, not the idiot his critics need him to be. He's just a stubborn, calculating guy who creates chaos the way a magician creates misdirection. While youโ€™re distracted watching the fireworks, heโ€™s already three iterations ahead with furious execution. And he doesnโ€™t bluff the way people think he bluffs. He just couldn't care less about the part of diplomacy where everyone pretends to be polite while lying to each otherโ€™s faces. He skips that step entirely, which looks unhinged if youโ€™re used to the old choreography but is genuinely disorienting if youโ€™re the guy on the other side of the table who had a whole manipulation strategy mapped out. Iran found this out the hard way. What gets lost in so much noise is that Trump doesnโ€™t actually want war. He sees it as the ugly price tag on a bigger purchase. His math on Iran is cold but not complicated: ninety million people living between poverty and the lower middle class, ruled by an elite whose entire business model depends on keeping them there. The nukes were the urgent priority, but his bet is that removing the lid will let Iranians rebuild the way Germany did after the rubble cleared. You can argue whether that math checks out, but itโ€™s not the reasoning of someone who just wants to watch things explode. Obviously, Iran isnโ€™t the only file on his desk. Venezuela already got the treatment. Cubaโ€™s probably next. Syria hasnโ€™t been forgotten either, no matter how quiet things look. By this point, few should be surprised that he circles back to unfinished business with the patience of a guy who knows heโ€™s holding better cards and just needs to wait for overconfidant tyrants to overplay theirs. The part his opponents keep getting wrong is treating โ€œMake America Great Againโ€ like a bumper sticker. Wrong. Itโ€™s a *doctrine* now. It has always been. Whether you love it or find it terrifying, MAGA is the very operating system behind his relentless drive. This not just some random pixellated banner which will fade away in the next couple presidential terms. Nah, this is the right stuff that will outlast the man who built it.

@SenMarkKelly @Tazerface16 Have we ever had a president attack a Pope. A Pope who is simply asking for peace, for an end to war. How sad & pathetic Trump is, no gravitas, no thought about potential consequences of his actions or rhetoric. The pope is actually throwing Trump a softball, he should take it.

As a Catholic, I find it abhorrent that the President of the United States would publicly attack the Successor of St. Peter. Donald Trump is flailing. His war in Iran has led to the death and injury of American servicemembers and the death of Iranian children. He will attack anyone or anything to try to protect himself, even the Church that millions of Americans find faith and comfort in every day. The American people deserve a president who understands the consequences of his words and takes responsibility for his actions.

I don't think people fully grasp the impact of Trump constantly attacking Pope Leo XIV. As Catholics, we believe the Pope is the supreme moral authority on Earth. Forcing believers to choose between their President and their Faith is a dangerous (and stupid) game. Does he want to alienate the entire Catholic base? I don't understand.

Chiming in with the crew... Big tell, BO. ๐Ÿ’€ Yes. We do know what happened...and what is happening. A testament to the resilience and determination of those who would destroy the Hungarian people. And a reminder to all of us that evil will continue to try to keep us far from living our lives without any government intervention. ๐Ÿ’€

The victory of the opposition in Hungary yesterday, like the Polish election in 2023, is a victory for democracy, not just in Europe but around the world. Most of all, itโ€™s a testament to the resilience and determination of the Hungarian people โ€“ and a reminder to all of us to keep striving for fairness, equality and the rule of law.

I doubt Pope Leo XIV will lose any sleep over this, before he begins his pilgrimage to Africa tomorrow. But the rest of us should. Because it is unhinged, uncharitable and unchristian. Is there no bottom to this moral squalor?

Concerning Social Security payments, my contributions were made for 40 years on every salary I received. Those jobs may not have always been the work I wanted to be doing at the time, BUT I always had a job. The Social Security check is now (or soon will be) referred to as a "Federal Benefit Payment?" I'll be part of the one percent to forward this. I am forwarding it because it touches a nerve in me, and I hope it will in you. Please keep passing it on until everyone in our country has read it. The government is now referring to our Social Security checks as a "Federal Benefit Payment." This isn't a benefit. It is our money paid out of our earned income! Not only did we all contribute to Social Security but our employers did too. It totaled 15% of our income before taxes. If you averaged $30K per year over your working life, that's close to $180,000 invested in Social Security. If you calculate the future value of your monthly investment in social security ($375/month, including both you and your employers contributions) at a meager 1% interest rate compounded monthly, after 40 years of working you'd have more than $1.3+ million dollars saved! This is your personal investment. Upon retirement, if you took out only 3% per year, you'd receive $39,318 per year, or $3,277 per month. That's almost three times more than today's average Social Security benefit of $1,230 per month, according to the Social Security Administration. (Google it โ€“ itโ€™s a fact). And your retirement fund would last more than 33 years (until you're 98 if you retire at age 65)! I can only imagine how much better most average-income people could live in retirement if our government had just invested our money in low-risk interest-earning accounts. Instead, the folks in Washington pulled off a bigger "Ponzi scheme" than Bernie Madoff ever did. They took our money and used it elsewhere. They forgot (oh yes, they knew) that it was OUR money they were taking. They didn't have a referendum to ask us if we wanted to lend the money to them. And they didn't pay interest on the debt they assumed. And recently they've told us that the money won't support us for very much longer. But is it our fault they misused our investments? And now, to add insult to injury, they're calling it a "benefit", as if we never worked to earn every penny of it. Just because they borrowed the money doesn't mean that our investments were a charity! Let's take a stand. We have earned our right to Social Security and Medicare. Demand that our legislators bring some sense into our government. Find a way to keep Social Security and Medicare going for the sake of that 92% of our population who need it. Then call it what it is: Our Earned Retirement Income. ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜กโœ…
