This is Norah Vincent an American Journalist who decided to conducted a 2 years social experiment by living undercover as a man. Contrary to popular belief, she didn't go through any Gender Affirming surgery but rather she used a voice coach, bound her breasts, and wore a prosthetic to "pass" as a man. She also went as far as joining a male bowling league, a monastery, and even went on dates with women to understand the male experience from the inside. She ended the experiment in 18 months instead of the planned two years duration because she couldn't deal with the immense "burden of deception" and the emotional strain of maintaining a double identity. This led to a severe depressive breakdown and her first voluntary admission to a psychiatric facility. She concluded that "men are suffering" and faced restrictive emotional conditioning and a lack of sympathy from society. She often stated that the experiment made her appreciate being a woman even more. She died a decades after the social experiment by physician assistant suicide to escape the chronic mental illness she got from that experiment.
