@the_zb_ I agree was the first time in years I didnt either stay up to watch are record the @F1 race. After seeing qualy we all knew the results of the race barring dnf. Sky and F1 trying to act like their is three cars drag racing to the finish line, when in reality 3rd is 25s off pace

I wound up deciding to not watch the race live, as I was fairly sure the running order would be the finishing order apart from reliability quirks, with a bunch of yo-yo in between. A few swaps of the Ferraris, and various swaps back and forth up the field, with some broken cars scattered in between a short lived field mixup at the SC. In a quick review, that looks to be the case. I’d say that SC saved it from being a 40+ second gap for Mercedes. Good for Lewis finally getting that first podium, and good for Kimi on a first win. Bluntly, Kimi needed a race like that where he could just drive from the lead and focus on being quick, because his W2W ability is an utter liability. As the regs mature, you’ll see a lot more Noah’s Ark 2x2 team finishes, I think. I’ll probably go back and rewatch a bit later. Anything pressing that I missed?

@F1 While everyone seems to be thrilled with the early race passes, it’s all superficial no driver skill, car control, attacking corner, or late braking involved. It’s all just batter deployment. Once it levels out no one gains on anybody. Same reason Indy car is unwatchable
