We condemn in the strongest possible terms Russia’s latest wave of attacks against #Ukraine, in which drones and missiles struck civilian areas, causing the tragic loss of innocent lives, including children. Our thoughts are with the victims, the injured, and their families, who continue to endure the devastating human cost of this unjustified war. These repeated and persisting indiscriminate attacks against civilians and critical infrastructure are unacceptable and constitute a grave violation of international humanitarian law. They must cease immediately. #Albania reaffirms its unwavering support for Ukraine and its brave people. Sustained international support for Ukraine, increased pressure on Russia to stop, and full accountability for all violations of international law remain essential to protect civilians and uphold peace, security in #Europe. @andrii_sybiha

Great to meet the Director-General for Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of 🇪🇸 Spain, Ms. Ainhoa Fábrega Larrucea, in the framework of bilateral consultations held in Tirana, marking the 40th anniversary of the re-establishment of diplomatic relations between Albania and Spain. We discussed the state of play of 🇦🇱 Albania’s 🇪🇺 EU accession negotiations and the next steps to further advance the process.

#Korça — or as we like to call it, our little #Paris — was the next stop on our tour: “EU and You: Europe Starts at Home.” 🇦🇱🇪🇺 Today, we had a very open, sincere, and energizing exchange with students from Fan S. Noli #University, together with my soulmate and Minister, @APirdeni, focusing on Albania’s EU #integration journey. We explored a range of topics: what it means to feel #European; the reforms and negotiations ahead; the balance between commitments and results; and our shared responsibility to secure our future within the European Union. My takeaway: our youth and students are far from mere spectators. They are curious, engaged, and eager to learn more. They are, without a doubt, a driving force for change. We will continue this direct dialogue in every city in Albania, to make sure that youthful energy and critical thinking thrive, because #Albania’s accession to the #EU should be shaped by this generation. 🙌 #EUStartsHereAtHome

EU and You: Europe Starts at Home 🇦🇱🇪🇺 Alongside PM @edirama and colleagues @kumbaro, @dhuka, and @pirdeni, we had a highly engaging and dynamic discussion with students and young people in Tirana on EU integration — not just as a process, but as a continuous transformation of our society and ourselves. EU integration is not something distant or abstract. It begins here, at home, and it requires the active participation of all — especially the youth, who are both the drivers and the greatest beneficiaries of this journey. What was once a dream has become a concrete project. Now, our shared responsibility is to turn it into a tangible result. This path demands commitment, perseverance, and collective effort — there can be no pauses, no complacency, and no turning back. The future of #Albania in the #EuropeanUnion will be shaped by this generation — and it is this generation that will benefit the most from the opportunities, standards, and values that come with it.

🇦🇱 Pleased to met with the co-rapporteurs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe for the post-monitoring dialogue with #Albania, Ionuț-Marian Stroe and Paweł Jabłoński, during their fact-finding mission in #Tirana. The Council of Europe @coe and its Parliamentary Assembly have made a longstanding contribution in supporting Albania’s democratic state-building and institutional consolidation. Our cooperation has delivered tangible and sustained results, and we welcome the new phase of our dialogue, made possible by transformative and far-reaching reforms, including in the justice system. We remain firmly committed to ensuring the full and effective implementation of policies aimed at strengthening the rule of law, safeguarding fundamental rights, and fostering an inclusive political and social environment for all our citizens.

Productive meeting with the OSCE Special Representative and Coordinator for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, Dr. Kari Johnstone. We focused on Albania’s legislation alignment with EU standards, reinforcing safe migration frameworks, strengthening consular support, and enhancing the role of diplomatic staff in identifying and assisting Albanian victims of trafficking abroad. Guided by our national values and strong alignment with the EU integration process, our cooperation in this field remains both vital and impactful.

OTD, 17 years ago, Albania took a decisive step into its future by becoming a full member of #NATO — a historic milestone that firmly anchored our Euro-Atlantic path and cemented the foundations of our national security. Since that defining moment, Albania has proven itself a committed and reliable Ally — contributing to NATO missions and operations, promoting stability across the Western Balkans, including by consistently supporting #Kosovo’s #Euro-Atlantic perspective. Today, #Albania stands fully aligned with NATO’s evolving priorities: from fair burden-sharing and increased defence investment, to strengthening resilience, embracing innovation, and advancing new technologies in a rapidly changing security landscape. Looking ahead, Albania is honored to prepare for hosting the first NATO Summit ever in our region. This is more than an event; it is a clear expression of trust in Albania’s role, credibility, and contribution within the Alliance. 🏛️ Në mbledhjen e fundit të @KeshilliTirane morëm vendime të rëndësishme për përmirësimin e jetës së qytetarëve të Tiranës. ✅ Zgjeruam mbështetjen sociale për familjet në nevojë, duke rritur ndihmën ekonomike për 230 familje dhe subvencionet e qirasë për 18 familje të tjera, ndërkohë që vijon mbështetja për familjet e prekura nga projektet zhvillimore. ✅ Rritëm fondet e aboneve për 395 studentë dhe 1005 pensionistë, gjithashtu rritje fondesh pësuan edhe programet e strehimit dhe banesat social. ✅ Vijuam me mbështetjen e investimeve në infrastrukturë, arsim, transport publik dhe hapësira publike. ✅ Miratuam ndihmën financiare për familjet që kanë pësuar dëme si pasojë e fatkeqësive natyrore. Puna jonë vijon çdo ditë me të njëjtin përkushtim për të qenë më pranë nevojave të çdo qytetari.
