@Carl_Nwakakwa @JamalCrip69304 @dottz45 @DynamoSuperX Spider-Verse is so good it more than makes up for anything else
English

@MerrickAnd @JamalCrip69304 @dottz45 @DynamoSuperX Better than anything Sony can put out that isn't Spider-Verse...
English

Sony is never giving those rights back. 😭
DiscussingFilm@DiscussingFilm
‘SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY’ is the biggest movie trailer launch of all time with 718.6M views. ‘DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE’ is second with 365M views.
English

@MerrickAnd @JamalCrip69304 @dottz45 @DynamoSuperX Disney also made Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man
English

@remyny149 @KeyWatkins51299 "in the context of mcu peter's relationship with tony" which was also bad
defending a bad thing with another bad thing doesn't justify anything, it just makes the defended thing even more pointless
English

@remyny149 @KeyWatkins51299 jameson is peter's boss, iron man is someone who shouldn't have been his mentor in the first place nor someone peter should've been obsessed with as much
why are you bringing up mcu peter's inability to keep a secret identity like it fixes things and isn't another massive issue
English

I wanna address this topic by saying: it makes complete sense why he called Tony “Mr. Stark” considering that was his mentor and it was a sign of respect. Not to mention he was a teenager.
Peter does NOT respect Frank. Why would he? He’s an infamous vigilante who kills people.
The Green Kasey 🎃@RawbertBeef
I am SO relieved he’s calling him Frank and not “Mr. Castle” or “Mr. Punisher” or something like that 😭

@remyny149 @KeyWatkins51299 once again even when he was a kid in the original continuity he didn't act like that
English

@MerrickAnd @KeyWatkins51299 Once again he wasn’t a kid very long in the original continuity he went to college pretty quickly because in the early years of marvel comics in the 60’s characters were aging in real time. In the mcu Tony already knew his real identity and it was established Peter was a kid
English

@MerrickAnd @KeyWatkins51299 Tony stark died while Peter was still a teenager. This new film is the first story we are getting with him as an adult
English

@dessholigayy @KellytoyDK not sure if i can condone the first part of the statement but i do love spider-verse

English

@KellytoyDK cuz it was. tasm 1 is better than literally every other spider-man movie not including spider-verse
English

andrew was so fucking funny in this movie that I almost got tricked into thinking his duology was good
jeremy@then0wnow
“i hate ai but i love the fruit videos”
English

@stellifiedd i'd probably keep the noses and give the express coaches annie and clarabel styled faces. if i didn't want to give them faces, i guess i'd paint the noses white and pretend they're back lamps
English

@MerrickAnd I was thinking of getting spares and just doing that atp but their noses are moulded in I have no clue how to sand down metal🥹
the ertl coaches I mean. Ehhhhhhhh
English

@bartonovopolis Even wilder is that MCU Spidey's debut was only two years after TASM2
English

@WrldPayne @ClipzzAE @jayjjalen what makes you think you know me better than i do
i fucking love the spider-verse movies, you're trying to convince the wrong tree
English

@WrldPayne @ClipzzAE @jayjjalen Animation which you still have to make and film. You still gotta frame a shot and light everything properly and all that, you're just using different tools to do it
English

@MerrickAnd @ClipzzAE @jayjjalen Because one is actual filmmaking and the other is a cartoon with animation

@MercWitDaM0uth @bbbbbbbbbbrady @Kahaga425876 if they werent putting care into the suit he has in the movie. the same amount of care could've been put into a good suit
my problem isn't with the montage cameo costume specifically, but more with the general attitude that accuracy or good design don't matter from an adaptation
English

@MercWitDaM0uth @bbbbbbbbbbrady @Kahaga425876 hugh jackman wolverine is a remnant of a dumb bygone era we should've left in the past
no one said it has to be 1:1, but it is not unreasonable to want it to look good and to resemble the source material. no reason not to have him look as good and accurate as spidey
you act as-
English

@WrldPayne @ClipzzAE @jayjjalen Yeah instead of some things it involves different things. That is obvious, but what isn't obvious is why is one better than other
English

@MerrickAnd @ClipzzAE @jayjjalen Doesn’t involve actual camera work, on set lighting. Yk what idek why im arguing this it’s obvious the answer
English

@frostironat @KeyWatkins51299 Which he also was in the comics where he didn't act that way. People forget that usually everyone was surprised when they found out Spider-Man's identity and that he was a kid. It's not something he made obvious with his behaviour or anything
English

@GHoodlen @Naitso @KeyWatkins51299 "natural not to start in the middle" They did that with Peter's origin which they skipped and that wasn't a bad idea (in concept even if the execution had issues).
"why are people so resistant to something that devalues the character and what made him appealing" take a guess
English

@MerrickAnd @Naitso @KeyWatkins51299 Why? It’s natural to not start in the middle of a story. Why are people so resistant to Spider-Man having one universe where he’s the young new upstart instead of automatically an equal?
English

@remyny149 @KeyWatkins51299 You forget that part of Spider-Man was that no one knew he was a kid cuz he didn't act like one. That's why it was always so surprising whenever someone found his identity
English

@remyny149 @KeyWatkins51299 In the comics yes but not as mentor and student, and other adaptations are not the source material, nor did they have Otto mentor Spider-Man the superhero rather than only Peter the civilian.
Didn't say anything about a first name, calling them by just the last name sounds good.
English
