☘️Celebrate green by lending a hand to the annual spring clean-up of Metuchen's Woodwild Park! Tomorrow, 3/18, at 9am. Volunteers can meet at the East Chestnut entrance. Please bring trash bags, work gloves (for collecting litter & broken glass), and shoes that can get muddy! ☘️

🌱Volunteers needed for Woodwild Park Association's fall park clean-up tomorrow, 10/15, from 9-noon. Volunteers can meet at the East Chestnut entrance to collect trash (including broken glass, so bring gloves!) and to help remove invasive species. 🌱

"Saving the stems" to provide nesting space for cavity-nesting insects begins in the fall. All you have to do this season is leave dead plant stalks alone and intact through the winter. Then you can start the process in the spring with barely any work at all:
