Tonight's movie

I am grateful and proud to be a part of such a beautiful and rich culture that I sometimes take for granted.

Other highlights included STREET SMART: LESSONS FROM A TV ICON (a wonderful documentary about Sonia Manzano from SESAME STREET, and watching LA BAMBA on the big screen in 35mm, with Lou Diamond Phillips introducing the movie.

May has turned out to be a month where I celebrated Chicano and LatinX culture. I started the month enjoying Los Lobos in concert, followed by the Cine Las Americas International Film Festival that began with a screening of AMERICAN PACHUCO: THE LEGEND OF LUIS VALDEZ.
