There are great teachers who have a “count down” to summer break. I realize it’s a common practice... but please think twice about it. We have students who don’t want the year to end; they’re not looking forward to the summer. Our school is the best place they have.

NO COMPLAINING CHALLENGE: Go a week without complaining about anything and see how it changes your life and team.

I encourage every educator to spend this week recharging your battery, enjoying your family, and taking care of self! You can't care for others if you don't take care of self! You are the cornerstone of this society and you deserve a break!

Teachers don’t always need a new strategy, a new activity, or a new resource. Sometimes… what they need is some encouragement. They need to be reminded, that what they are doing every day really does matter.

Great teams have Positive Discontent. Even when they’re having success they still identify what they can do better and continuously improve. When they’re not succeeding their discontent motivates them to improve. They stay positive and believe the best is yet to come.

A real team is a group of individuals whose collective strength is greater than their individual weaknesses.
