Anyone (teacher friends or otherwise) have experience w/this hand cart? About 75% of the school are moving classrooms, have to have EVERYTHING out by this Friday, and we have 2 handcarts available 😭 my stress level is here 📈 another expense I can’t afford but need #movingclass

Went back to my new classroom today and decided to open cabinets and really take a closer look. The reading curriculum is in so many different spots and so disorganized along with all the other things that were left behind. I had to take a deep breath get measurements and leave.

@MzSouthernBella @Cynthia1k Fine motor skills! Putting large beads on a string, practicing shoe-tying, cutting different types of lines (safe kinder scissors), tracing lines, using plastic tongs to pick up objects, etc.

@MarvelTeacher2 Love it! I have Iris storage containers on my wishlist to make individual math manipulative kits. They had move classrooms and I lost a ton of storage.

So I had every intention of buying these for students but I had to test out these iris pencil containers and they work great for art storage! I’m gonna replace these so students have them too. Love it! #teachers #storage

@cmcfarland77 This is the first time I’ve had to turn my key in. I like to be prepped ahead. I teach summer school so I usually pop over to my school after to do little things. Plus coming back to room chaos. It really is devastating to have things broken, I can’t replace them anytime soon.

@MrsBorges33 I’m moving to a new district this year and have never had a key to my room during the summer. I usually get it the day before preplanning so I’m excited! 🤣 I know all about things being broken and it’s so devastating.

I got my room key today and saw my new room. It’s smaller than what I’ve always had and the ceilings are lower and less storage……BUT it’s going to be AMAZING once I get started on it and sprinkle my magic.

Summer school started Monday, no breaks for me. 😂

@MrsMcD6 I’m a ‘color-coder’. While my borders MAY change (I’ve been doing chalkboard brights for several years, a lot is falling apart), I do color wall backgrounds for specific subjects to make student desk organization easier. Each subject has its own color and coordinating wall.

Curiosity - Do lower ele teachers do a diff theme every year? Where do you store everything, or do you use it once and then start all over every year? Middle school here - material on bulletin boards and anchor charts. Focused on lessons, not themes.
