@drbone4tx @Baylor Baylor decided to limit the event to students after TPUSA has pulled out of multiple events due to "security threats". It was a free event. Charlie would have still been able to fill the room with students. But young people are not a fan of the direction of the "new" TPUSA.

Rather than supporting the Waco community and Baylor alumni, the university restricted entry for all non-students at our event tonight forcing us to tell 4,500 ticket holders not to come. Oh and the Southern Baptist school approved an LGBTQ counter-programming event after a bunch of progressive students complained. What gives, @Baylor?

An incident on campus in the wake of such serious and recent threats to the TPUSA event keynote speaker could leave Baylor liable and might cause a university to take extra precautions.

@teachthemx3 And don’t give them essays, do more short prompt in class writing, editing, etc. Essays are a dying art with AI but they need to write. Ask ?s no one is asking them.. rate a meal you had recently like a food critic, 1 thing you can’t live without. & then add 5 adj/5 adv, etc

@teachthemx3 It’s the technology. We used to take notes in history class bell to bell, now it’s all uploaded. We used to listen for the teacher to say “this might be important” in a lecture. Writing sentences to edit them, brain storming, rough drafts.. papers.. it was time consuming.
