Does anyone else ever just get a little depressed when you think about the fact that you have to adult every day for the rest of your life? Like seriously...it's a lot.

@Srl82Shawn @realJ_Mitchell So you must not want people to say Merry Christmas in schools for the same reason, right? It excludes some and raises some above others? Or does that logic only work for groups whose views you don't agree with?

@realJ_Mitchell As a parent, that would be the subject of a complaint as you’re promoting select groups over others creating an atmosphere of exclusion and isolation of certain students.

We owe it to the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit folks whose land we occupy to learn more about their perspectives. And we owe it to ourselves to have one subject in one grade--JUST ONE--out of the 14 grades-- where we are immersed in literature from these perspectives.

I want to take a moment to tweet about TVDSB's decision to offer NBE3U/C "Grade 11. English: Understanding Contemporary First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Voices" as its compulsory grade 11 English class without retweeting the LFP article.

@DanikaTipping @heymrsbond Literally overheard a grade 9 girl on the verge of tears in the hall because she was afraid to go pee.

@mrs_k_thompson I know first hand that you are always striving to do your best, learn from your mistakes and do better. Your students know that too.

#tvdsbmath I fell short today. Student got upset with me, because I was struggling to find balance between assisting Ss who try hard every day, and those who need encouragement to just attend. However, I got an email from her after that helped. Sometimes, teaching is just hard.
