“(Ryan Clark) is a good analyst, I ain’t gonna lie. He kills it… This is what triggers me. He’s a race baiter… With a white baby momma.” - @marcelluswiley on Ryan Clark being a racial idolater.

@FarOutMag This is what he's talking about: Girls will be boys and boys will be girls It's a mixed up, muddled up, shook up world And yes that appears to be transphobic. Davies didn't even address it when it was pointed out.

@brad_polumbo A couple of things: The best comedy is rooted in exaggerating a reality to highlight it's ridiculousness. This is not comedy, but mocking for the sake of causing harm. Also, if this was a white comic doing blackface, you'd never hear the end of it.

I've ardently defended Erika Kirk from the ostensibly serious podcasters & media stars defaming her and baselessly implicating her in crimes. But my feelings about the comedian Druski's mockery of Erika Kirk are more complex. For years, I, and many others on the Right, defended edgy and wildly offensive comedy, like mocking trans people and even joking about horrible things like domestic violence, the Holocaust, and AIDS. How can anyone on the Right really argue, in that context, that a comedian mocking a widow is somehow beyond the pale... without being totally hypocritical?

Conservatives’ response to Druski’s Erika Kirk skit was JOYLESS and CRINGE. Instead of diffusing the situation with HUMOR, the response was anger. Yesterday’s meltdown was precisely why none of this is cultural or cool anymore. YOU are the nerds now.

@MsMet5 My dad suffered an accidental death in August of 1965. He was 39 and I, Bob JUNIOR, was 13. A day rarely goes by where I don't think of him and how proud he would have been.

YIKES, ya mean TV sports' Empty Suits think this a-hole is now somehow rehabilitated?! If so, maybe the Yankees could use a good left-handed bat: MEL HALL is still in prison in Texas, serving a 45-year sentence for aggravated sexual assault of a child & indecency with a child.

Barry Bonds: "I may not have talked to anybody off the field. That was just me. Alright? But on that field, I was probably the best teammate you would ever have. I took more walks for my team. Got on base for my team. And that's what baseball is about..."

@cenkuygur @joerogan So he finally acknowledges the truth and you want people to rain platitudes down on him for it? It’s been a decade now.

I said a lot of people on the left were misunderstanding @joerogan and all the independent podcasters. They didn't agree with us on everything, but they weren't MAGA. Others said they were hard core MAGA extremists. Here's what Rogan just said about some of the people in MAGA, "a lot of them are dorks. A lot of them these really weird fucking uninteresting, unintelligent people." The world is not black and white. Everyone who disagrees with you on a couple of issues is not your enemy. People have been taught to hate one another. Especially if you're on the left, you have to break that cycle of hatred, rather than feed into it.

Is there anything trashier than attacking Erika Kirk, a woman who hasn’t done anything to deserve the vitriol she is getting online? It’s demented to see how many people enjoy tormenting a widow and young mother whose husband was murdered on Live TV. I wish I could help her.

@NYNJHarper He turned a bobble into an out? WTH does that even mean? He knocked it down and made the play. 🙄

Couple random thoughts from Citi: 1)Happened to be looking down at scorecard when Alvarez hit HR - the sound was remarkably loud. 2)Didn't like the way Polanco played hard-hit ball off to side. He turned bobble into an out but reaffirmed thought that Baty will play a lot of 1B.

Stephen A. Smith on Josh Hart comments telling him to shut the hell up that he’s a part-time Knicks fan: “I just love how people ignore the resume. Let me say this about myself. So I spent 20 years covering the NBA and I’m on the road and in locker rooms for over 100 games a year. Damn near 120 games a year when you take into account the playoffs and the multitude of locker rooms that I have to go into. And because my success on television has me in studio, and I’m not there at the games the way that i used to be. And as a result, I’m not going to know the players the way that I used to know the players. I don’t know sh*t really. Well, what about 99% of the sports commentators and pundits on television and radio and on newspapers and dot com sites and podcast all over the country, if not the world? Do they have to know you? What did I say about the New York Knicks that requires me to know anybody? First of all, you don’t who I know. Secondly, you don’t know who talks to me. Thirdly, you don’t even know how close I am to the people that cut your checks. Josh Hart, clearly you haven’t done your homework.” (Via @stephenasmith)

MAGA, IRAN, AND THE MIDTERMS Matt Meduri explains that growing frustration is building within parts of the Republican and MAGA base as expectations for major change go unmet. While some still support current policies, issues like a potential Iran conflict are dividing supporters and weakening enthusiasm, raising concerns about voter turnout and momentum heading into the midterms. @damonroberts @lfs6b @slickricksports

@MaryL1973 @Mets as a fan, you can of course follow those players if you choose. but there are some fans who choose to post about them when they play well and not when they struggle. so which is it? post about them or not? I'd vote not.

question for @Mets fans -- I want to know the rules on posting stats for former #Mets players. Is it just going to be when Nimmo and Alonso have great games? Or, is it time to move on, wish them well and not post whether they have a bad or good game? Because it's crickets today from the folks who've been dwelling on it all offseason. My vote would be to move on and not post stats and plays for Alonso and Nimmo. What do you say?
