I’ve got two friends both sitting on roughly R400,000 cash each. They both keep this cash in their EasyEquities. Nothing building for the future. And here is what most people do not know. There is a maximum amount you can be covered for across all your life policies. It depends on the broker, of course. I haven’t tried IJG, but I understand their minimum is somewhere between N$50,000 and N$100,000, which many people simply can’t afford. We need to make investing more accessible to ordinary Namibians, because right now it’s actually easier for Namibians to invest in foreign markets. When I started investing, I began with less than N$200 on @EasyEquities . We are in 2026, yet electronic transactions are still limited, and we can’t even properly link to other exchanges like the JSE. It feels like we are going backwards instead of moving forward. So many opportunities are out of reach for the average person. At times, it almost feels like the system doesn’t want us to become investors. We have strong local companies @MTCNamibia , the banks, and others. We use their products and services every day. We don’t just want to be consumers; we also want to be investors.

Purple Group. I've been a bit under pressure at work. Will dig into details more in the next few weeks. Very positive results coming from the group. EasyTrader results were a disappointment of note. Slashed group HEPS by a lot. Rest of the group is pumping, and EasyTrader issue has been fixed.
