This bird saved my life and the lives of my team in RC East ‘08. Skits ass shit was going down with some 107mm roadsides and we called this glorious marvel of American military might for support. “4 minutes and 27 seconds till we are inbound”. Came the voice over my radio 9 line for CAS. I thought, “no freakin way! British dude said he’d be here in four minutes and 27 seconds!” I told my team. Then I set the alarm on my watch (still wore one of those things back then!). Sure as shit mate, 4:17 later, I hear the high pitched whistling of a subsonic close air support aircraft coming in hot! But like, WAY up there right. Two of these demon hunting wonders come barreling through the overhead scattered clouds! They bring such an AWESOME show of force! Light up the whole fuc*in valley and the sound waves wiped out any onlooker just from the pure shock of it all! My team and I had a super chill evening after the events, pondering life and enjoying the gifts God has blessed us with. It may have been, the single most skits ass moment of my life! Aside from the other skits ass shit… Ghost would marry an A10 if it were a thing to love a machine.
