So excited to be running a #lidR workshop at @CRSS__SCT this year! If you're coming to Halifax, consider signing up for our workshop (although I know from experience the #GEE workshop run by @NPontone and Yasamin Amini will be excellent too!)

@bikeviewca The train closed halfway through my undergrad. I’m now in the first year of my PhD this year. Let’s take bets on what gets finished first, the train or my thesis.

@ScootJD Thank you for sharing! Including swamps as their own class is one of the many improvements we’re hoping to make in a second version.

Interesting new paper mapping wetland classes across Canada’s boreal zone. Still no swamps though! #PeatPaper #PeatTwitter

Excited to announce this publication! Our peatland map for the Canadian boreal forest is now available as open data (zenodo.org/records/106275…). We hope this will facilitate further research in ecology, wildfire management, carbon accounting, and more!
English

Make sure not to skip the supplementary material! This paper also describes the methodology behind new Canadian PALSAR-2 L-band summer composites (circa 2020). Thanks to our collaborators at the Canadian Forest Service @NRCan for making this possible
