Great to have @bbcbitesize in school to talk to our students. I was not expecting to say the words 'welcome to the BBC' when I got to work today.

@vewhitcombe Thanks Vanessa. I will be interested in how you find Arbor. Was reading quite a bit about it yesterday.

@WhistleblowingT Huge focus on positive learning behaviors. Ideally all should be 'good' learners by year 10. Also never a bad thing with any year to flag what is happening in higher years. Point out when year 10 and 11 have exams it will be them soon enough.

@WhistleblowingT If they wanted to do that they would have made the external advert for HoD which was much more likely to attract candidates. I would think this is just making it fair for everyone.
If I was in their position I would be annoyed if everyone else had this chance and I didn't.

Getting ready for day 1 of Curriculum for Senior Leaders with @Ambition_Inst this morning. Could do worse than a latte in St. James Park before hand.

@FloraSCooper Make it genuinely about improvement. Removing the grades would mean people read the actual report and can make their own judgement.
A return visit with a specific focus could still be arranged but without the need of a full inspection if most areas fine.

What is the ONE thing you think that Ofsted needs to change that would have the biggest impact? Why do you think this?
What would you replace it with? (If relevant)
Serious answers only, please.
Thank you!

@WhistleblowingT Move school. I felt exactly the same when I was 2 years in, then realised after a move how unsupported I had been on behaviour. All schools have some behaviour issues but strong policies and SLT make a huge difference.

@Jacob_Rees_Mogg So those who held positions of power should be except from any form of punishment regardless of their crimes?
English

@RishiSunak It is already basic safeguarding to report anything of a sexual nature when working with children. Even clubs have safeguarding officers of children involved. How is rewording a basic expectation a crackdown?!

Emotional farewell to staff and students from @CastleManor today after 10 years. Leaving behind some amazing people of all ages but excited for a new challenge.
