@ExplodinBeef @TTrebb No, it has nothing to do with the filters. Even if you use the raw input from your XLR mic/interface, there’s a huge difference between the Discord app and the browser version. You can test it yourself with two accounts and call yourself. The browser version sounds crispy clean.

@Neoyi @TTrebb This is more likely caused by the fact that the filters that the are applied in obs aren't applied in other apps.

Is anyone super smart about microphone sounds when it comes to Discord? My mic on stream and within it's own systems sounds great, doesn't peak. But when used with Discord; other people hear a insanely different mic even with the same output. It's like 'high quality McDonalds Drivthru' typa sound.

@TTrebb If I remember correctly, someone mentioned that this happens because the app still applies some form of noise suppression internally. even when you disable all the settings (like Krisp, etc.). Which doesn‘t happen in the browser.

@TTrebb Yes, the mic quality is pretty bad in the regular Discord app. But interestingly, if you use Discord through your browser, your mic will sound exactly the same as it does on your stream or when you monitor it through your system. Try test it.
