I’m forever standing on the hill that Kendricks Wacced Out Murals is a direct shot to Cole.

I think people are confused by Cole because he really is human af. He doesn’t give you an image of a superhero, he’s just the homie who happened to make it as a rap star. So he contradicts hisself, he will fuck up in real time, he will pivot. But he’s real. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Really, Jaewon?!

Now niggas got an issue with artists not featuring other artists on THEIR songs/albums. Don’t nobody be scared of comp’, a lot of times niggas just don’t make sense on records. Especially when it’s thematic or telling THEIR story.

It’s funny when people say I’m clout chasing or attention seeking when I’m generally just speaking my mind. Only reason yall heard from me today is because that Hov interview. Peace tho!

@gothamhiphop @joeyBADASS Wild times, Cole is the guy to punch on right now. Hes done over 5 collabs with JID (released). And he didn’t mention JID hasn’t had Cole on his projects either.

@joeyBADASS I agree with your overall point but don’t get why you singled Cole out? He’s rapped with a lot of lyrical miracle guys and usually he comes out on top. I love JID too and wish he was on The Fall Off but I think it’s a bit wild to say Cole was scared of getting outshined

My sentiment is this type of thing happens all the time. This is just a recent example that I think is clear. Btw the topic was about sparring in hip hop re: the Hov interview. This is not just about J Cole this is about lyrical rap as a subgenre period. My sentiment is that there’s a scarcity mindset in the subgenre and usually the top guys don’t invite other hungry spitters onto their own tracks. Let me give Cole his flowers real quick just to be clear because i loved the album and Ive always loved him as an emcee (and person). But I stand on what I’m saying. The evidence is there. There’s a difference between doing features for niggas and featuring niggas on your own work. And for the record, if niggas wholeheartedly thought JID didn’t fit on TFO, that’s your opinion. But he’s also not featured on any other j Cole album. Didn’t J Cole just say “if hip hop was dead JID would be platinum?” (On a throwaway mixtape btw) But then not feature him at all on the mixtape or the album when either or would’ve made sense. All I’m saying is notice the trend in this specific sub genre. - sincerely a lover of the art form of lyrical rap.
Joey@gothamhiphop

WOW: Joey Bada$$ implies that he thinks JID wasn’t on ‘The Fall-Off’ bc Cole didn’t want to get bodied on his own record 👀 “Truth is dudes don’t be wanting to collab out of fear of getting bodied on they own record…This is exactly why you didn’t see JID on ‘The Fall-Off’…I loved the album but let’s be fr.” I wanted JID on the album too but damn I wasn’t expecting this sentiment from Joey

Ok a 3 hour Signifier video on how Cole is a fake friend to Drake and asking if he's really black coded, then a 2 hour stream with the usuals with two white people questioning his blackness, that pretty yellow bitch Shawn Cee makes a pouty video The Problem with Jermaine Cole as he makes the claim he's a "bitch" and replacing him with Tyler in the big three, Jamari makes a video on the satisfying downfall of J Cole and how Bobbi Althoff is somehow responsible, think pieces attacking Cole's marriage, manhood, and identity as a black man, dark rituals from hip hop YouTubers predicting his death, 3 crashout streams from Glasses... And that's just a Tuesday... But there ain't no machine tho...
Challz Brown@ChallzBrownLife

Why is J. Cole trying to make Drake into a fucking victim. We do not need more of that bullshit.

@gmalone @PARTEEIZMS5000 Major collaborations have always made a bigger impact historically for hip hop. Regional music is dope but that’s what makes collabs so special. Who has the better verse on the same record is what makes collab special. Politics and picking sides ruined that.
