לפני כמה שנים אבא שלי שאל את התלפיונים בהרצאה שלו למה הם ישנוניים. ענו לו שמכריחים אותם לשמור בלילה על המעונות שלהם.
אז הוא הלך לראש התכנית והסביר שזה פוגע ביכולת שלהם להצליח בלימודים. וראש התכנית הסכים כמובן, אז שבוע אח"כ כבר היה תלפיון שנה ג בהרצאה שהשגיח עליהם שהם לא נרדמים.

מלש"בים לא יודעים שתלפיות זה המסלול הכי טוב בצבא. בפער עצום. אני מראיין ילדים ליחידות טכנולוגיות, וזה לא סביר בעליל לשמוע שהם מתעדפים גאמא או שחקים או חבצלות או חרא אחר על פני תלפיות. לכל קוראיי, תפקידכם לספר לילדיכם שתלפיות זה מסלול שאין שני לו. תלפיות מבטיחה לילד הצלחה מיום הקבלה עד יום מותו. אין משהו דומה לזה, ואין שני לזה. המתקבלים יישמעו מגיל 17 ועד מותם כמה הם חכמים, מוצלחים, ומסוגלים. יבנו עבורם עולם שבו הם יכולים. הכותרת מייצרת לאדם מציאות חלופית שרחוקה מהקשיים היום יומיים, מהספקות, מאי הודאות. הכותרת מעלימה את זיעת הקיום, את אימת אי הידיעה, את בהלת הכשלון. תעסוקה? מובטחת. קשרים? מובטחים. מימון? מובטח. אנשים שילכו אחריך? תקבל. אתגרים? יגיעו. רצונות? יתאפשרו. נכון לא כולם מסיימים את המסלול, אז אני שמח לבשר לכל מי שלא יודע שלנופלים ממסלול תלפיות הקצו את הכינוי "פיון", ו"פיון" מקבל הצבה בטופ של מה שצהל יודע להציע לאנשים שהם לא תלפיונים. משרות פיתוח ומחקר אולטרא מבוקשות ואולטרא מעניינות. אני אחזור על זה שוב. אם אתם מכירים מלש"ב עם ציונים גבוהים ויכולות תקשורת טובות תדאגו שיבין את המשמעות של להיות תלפיון ולא יחשוב פעמיים. ממני, לא תלפיון (🫠).

I'm so frustrated about the ICLR solution. I give a paper low score because I did not understand the setup at the beginning. the authors and I had a lengthy back and forth to help me understand. We are finally on the same page and I am about to change score. Now this???
