Well yeah if you want it to be cannon then it should make sense but it dosen’t RE2 and RE3 don't have snow in them and RE2 takes place in September if the film is trying to take place during or before the events of those games then snow just dosen’t make sense

Also people using the “Resident Evil fans complaining about snow” line are being intentionally obtuse. When the director comes out and says “this movie takes place during the events of 2”, which very famously takes place in September, it’s not odd for people to raise questions.
