Ohio Connections Academy is a family affair for Jayce M, who often attends class with his two dogs by his side and whose sister also attends the school. 🐶🐶👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🎓 Jayce, a 4th-grade student, was named a Star Student at our school, which he has attended since 2021. ⭐📚🏫📆 Mrs. Quick, his math teacher, said, “Jayce is a hard worker and always comes to LiveLessons prepared, ready to learn! He consistently participates, treats his classmates with kindness, and sets a positive tone in our class. He truly upholds our goals each day by being respectful, being responsible, and being engaged, making him a wonderful example for others.” 👩‍🏫👏🌟🤝 Jayce said he enjoys doing school at his own pace, loves his teachers, and particularly enjoys math and multiplication. “The best thing about Ohio Connections Academy is the teachers, LiveLessons, and playing games in LiveLessons.” ⏩👩‍🏫➗✖️💻🎮 Outside of the classroom, “I like video games and Sonic the Hedgehog.” 🎮🦔💙 His family has a lot of pets, including two dogs, two cats, two turtles, and fish. 🐶🐶🐱🐱🐢🐢🐟 In the future, he wants to be a police officer “because they protect people.” 👮‍♂️🛡️💙

🎓Senior Spotlight: Meet Molly! Molly is wrapping up her senior year with determination and heart. From showing Market Breeding Goats and rabbits in 4-H to serving in a ministry focused on teen suicide prevention, she has made a meaningful impact both in her community and beyond. With acceptances to more than 10 universities, she’s now deciding where she’ll begin her next chapter studying Animal Sciences on the Pre-Veterinary track. 5th-grader Navi B. has been named a 💫Star Student at Ohio Connections Academy! 💫 Nominated by her math teacher, Mrs. Amy Brewer, who shared, “Navi is a joy to have in class! She’s kind, uplifting, works hard, participates in every LiveLesson, and is an extremely talented artist. We’re lucky to have her!” Her learning coach, Melissa, enrolled Navi in 2021 and says the flexibility made all the difference. Navi loves learning at home on her own schedule and says her favorite subjects are math, science, and language arts, thanks to her supportive teachers. Outside of class, she enjoys drawing, sewing, video games, and her family has many pets. In the future, she wants to be a veterinarian “because I love animals and taking care of them.” Way to shine, Navi! 🌟

💯🎉 100 Days Smarter — And a Mystery SOLVED! Today, Mrs. Costello’s Kindergarten class celebrated their 100th Day of School in the most unforgettable way… 🚨 They went on a SECRET MISSION! 🚨 Our 100 Day Collection mysteriously disappeared, and our kindergarten detectives jumped into action. 🕵️‍♀️🔍 The team completed 5 special missions, worked together like pros, followed the clues, and cracked the case piece by piece. 🧩✨ And guess what? ✅ Case CLOSED! They had an absolute blast celebrating 100 days smarter, 100 days kinder, and 100 days stronger. 💛 If this is what 100 days looks like, we can’t wait to see what the next 100 bring!

High grades and positive energy helped earn a Star Student designation for 8th grader Dominic O. ⭐📚✨ Dominic has been a student at Ohio Connections Academy since 2019. 🏫📆 Gene Stanford, 8th-grade social studies teacher, said Dominic consistently demonstrates excellence in the classroom. “He has a well-deserved high grade and actively participates in discussions. As class comes to a close, he often shares his interests, which brings positive energy to the room and allows classmates and staff to get to know him better. He is polite, well-mannered, and respectful to both peers and staff. In addition to his outstanding performance in this course, his excellent grades across all subjects reflect strong academic commitment and character. It has been a pleasure to work with Dominic and watch his love for history grow!” 📖🌟 Dominic said the flexibility of Ohio Connections Academy attracted him to the school. He likes the ability to work ahead in his lessons. “I love Connections Academy because I can work at my own pace and have great, helpful teachers. I also love the friends I’ve made over the years.” ⏩⏱️👩‍🏫🤝 “My favorite subject is math because it comes easy to me,” said Dominic. “I also really enjoy science because I like learning about the world and nature.” ➗🧮🔬🌍🌿 Outside of school, he enjoys playing video games, playing outside, collecting Pokémon cards, and building LEGO. 🎮🌞🃏🧱 After graduation, he plans to work with his dad at his painting company and start a YouTube channel on the side to stream as a hobby or side job. 🎨👨‍👦🎥📺 An interesting fact about his family? Over the last four years, his family has taken in around 20 stray cats and kittens, had them fixed, and helped get them re-homed. They’re working to reduce the number of strays in their neighborhood. 🐱🐾❤️🏡

From birding and falconry to soccer and football, Elliott brings focus, curiosity, and determination to everything he does. After graduation, he plans to train as a Firefighter/EMT and has a lifelong goal of one day owning a Bateleur eagle—a striking African bird of prey known for its bold coloring, short tail, and incredible, acrobatic flight.
