After overnight operations, OKNG wildland firefighters supporting @okem, @OHPDPS and @OKForestService patrol firelines for hotspots to prevent reignition.

@ARNGDirector @TheNationsFirst #OKGuard leaders submitted Olsen for the award following his actions in December 2025 while in Germany for an SPP engagement alongside OK Guardsmen. After a severe accident, he immediately rendered medical aid to a critically injured civilian until emergency responders arrived.

Professionalism and courage recognized. During a Regional Cooperation Exercise with Azerbaijan, Lt. Gen. Johnathan Stubbs, @ARNGDirector awarded Sgt. Maj. Christopher W. Olsen, @TheNationsFirst the Oklahoma Distinguished Service Medal for lifesaving actions in Germany. #OKGuard
