Web3 is more than tokens and trading. It's about infrastructure. FWTX DAO was formed to explore how decentralized systems can support real civic functions in Fort Worth, from governance to workforce development. This is about long-term public innovation, not short-term trends.

@sebkrier I agree that we will be more involved in casting votes for many more things and more often than what we do today. Going to a polling place to vote will be replaced with tapping our watch to approve, disapprove or suggest an amendment.

[Speculative] It's hard to think about positive post-AGI visions because it's hard to predict the future in concrete ways, but one of them is a world with three main ways people spend their time: The first is work, as I still expect plenty of roles for humans; I don't think all jobs disappear, but I'm not sure you have full employment either. Not everyone will want to work either, if alternatives guarantee a rich life. But there will be stuff to do, even if we can't foresee it all. The second is meaning-making activities: art, crafts, leisure, hobbies, discovery, guilds, new social dynamics, subculture explosion, spirituality/self-actualization, joint human-AI projects, new cities, therapy, status games etc. You could imagine many cultural domains flourishing, with their own internal standards, apprenticeship structures, and recognition systems. The third is politics: normative activities, governance, institution building, steering systems at various scales, conflict resolution etc. The choices made are ultimately human even if the execution can be AI assisted. We won't want to completely cede normative authority to AI systems. Also - people in the West tend to forget that most of the world won't automatically have access to AGI. I expect lots of work to be needed to spread the technology and bring the rest of the world on board too. This will be a mix of all three categories above, and a retvrn to a form of globalisation.
