With the current polar blast still in situ and under prepared with my winter work clothes decided to wear this from @OldFrontLinePod to office ( no heaters 😡)- it arrived safely in NZ, very cosy!

Six years ago I said goodbye to the Somme on a snowy morning, little knowing the world was about to change and I wouldn’t return for the longest period ever in my life. But that pause enabled me to start @OldFrontLinePod, and for that I’m eternally grateful.

During 2020-2023 just a few positives emerged from the darkness: Paul’s @OldFrontLinePod podcast, sitting out in the garden nodding affirmatively at what was being imparted, learning new information etc., thank you @sommecourt for your time & knowledge generously given. I think this stopped a lot of people going insane. Another positive was being able to take many long walks which saw us seeing the new & the old.
