Ending Curacy (12 weeks left) without a TI is extremely hard. And can be very lonely at times. I’m thankful for the clergy friends I have met though different networks like the Young Priest Theologians Network. @churchofengland

++Canterbury Designate Sarah took time to mourn with us when Dave died. She is not perfect, but who is? She has taken on a mammoth challenge knowing the personal cost. Knowing some of the concerns of survivors, I cautiously welcome this appointment, looking forward to what next.

@Ord_Off I don’t know how old you are but the problem is that younger people with families are more conservative. So this only appeals to progressive baby boomers who are aging. The young families like mine will find other churches

@Ord_Off They can be wonderful nuns, mothers, aunts, grandmothers, but not priests. A priest is by definition a man.

@Ord_Off Women are forbidden from having spiritual teaching authority over men. (1 Timothy 2:11–14) Don’t claim you follow the bible when you obviously don’t. Christianity isnt a hippy gathering or a sewing circle on a Tuesday afternoon.

@FrancesEliza245 I know some incredible female clergy who have cared for me pastorally through incredible hardship. Certainly not total wierdos and I am know God has called them to be priests.

@Ord_Off As a woman, I am sure that women are not supposed to be clergy. And the ones who defy that are usually total weirdos.
