@Rogue_FX Being an artist on social media is strange. A lot of times it’s like talking to an empty room, or yourself; but it makes the process of archiving your work so easy. It also has made confidence and peers 100x easier to come by

@OurNextAdvent Well that goes without saying. I was just venting about how it's gotten for me with a couple of friends but of course the one time I did it gets insinuated I'm a poser. I don't think my authenticity/genuinity (if that's a word lol) has ever really been in question around here.

Replying to your own audience is beneath you, but you're always in the comments of bigger artists looking for attention? Get your priorities in straight anon.

regarding the foundation news: i believe we literally just need bandcamp for digital art. crypto does not need to be the focal point. the audience is there. creator economies exist. yt, meta, and x all pay creators to create brainrot. give people something genuine for art. the moment is ripe.

@gmspace_ No doubt. Not only is the standard high. Selling art of any caliber/medium is difficult. You have to find a market. A very niche group of people have disposable income for art. You have to get creative with it

“Why is my art not selling?” Because the standard is higher than most are willing to admit. You are not only surrounded by “artists.” You are surrounded by people who worked on the biggest films, choreographed for cinema, designed legendary cars and logos, built skyscrapers, crafted stage visuals for iconic musicians, and built tools, systems, and software we use every day. Digital art is still early. And most just haven’t realised what industry they are looking at yet. Breaking in isn’t easy, and talent alone doesn’t guarantee attention. But it’s more open, and in many ways more fair, than it’s ever been. The room is serious. And serious work still gets noticed.

@OttisOts Everything piece of advice you give is golden. My advice here is be organized. A great step towards that is being specific and consistent with your file naming conventions.
