Our new paper about Air Quality Equity in US Climate Policy is out today in @PNASNews! The figure highlights the pervasiveness of national and state-level air pollution disparities. But can climate policy change this pattern? See🧵below or paper here: pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pn…

We have a new paper out today about the statistical estimation of climate impacts and how that process intersects with the physical climate! Want more summary? Find me on blue sky! Link to article here: link.springer.com/article/10.100…

New @PNASNews paper on quantifying fire-specific smoke impacts, expertly led by @jeffliwen. We link each big wildfire (2006-2020) in the US to its impact on PM2.5 and health. Complements typical fire impact measures (burned area, structures lost, etc). 🧵pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pn…

We asked about scientists' climate beliefs, climate actions, the role of scientists and academic institutions, and what is required to address climate change. 91% of all surveyed scientists believe that we need fundamental changes to social, economic, and political systems.

@ellies671 @ob_cycler I went to the pedestrian bridge to the East. As far as I can tell there’s no access from the street and it requires walking backwards (North). The bridge drops you in the mall (not where I was going). Also Google maps doesn’t understand any of this

@NevoMagnezi English Garden + paths along Isar are a must (bike could be good). Marienplatz despite being touristy. Pretzels and beer sort of anywhere. Might lean towards bars around the universities. Rischart is a bakery chain but it’s good. Time permitting, train to mountains (eg Garmisch)
