@GrlMuskateer @PeterDiamandis @elonmusk I'd say purpose is the imagined trajectory, but meaning is the reason the imagined trajectory exists. "Do dishes" is purpose. "Do dishes for my roommate" is meaningful purpose. "My roommate matters" is the meaning without purpose. This is also why AI sucks at conversation.

Algorithms are reciprocating purposes. But the human condition requires meaning. We abandoned it with all the postmodern focus on purpose.
